Tony Proctor
With only a tiny indigenous wine industry of its own, the UK is one of the most competitive wine markets in the world.
Yet Pendarves Estate wines were an instant hit when first exported to the UK many years ago.
Tony Proctor brings over 25 years experience of working in the UK drinks business. After serving in the UK's strategic defence force in
his early years, Tony, a Yorkshireman with a disarming sense of humour, applied the same hard-headed, no nonsense focus
that undoubtedly came in handy during his RAF years, to a small local wine agency turning it into a highly successful wine UK and EU sales organisation. Tony has been a major shareholder in Pendarves since early 2001.

"The perpetual motion general practitioner and founder of The Australian Medical Friends of Wine, Dr. Philip Norrie is a born communicator
and marketer, as well as a wine historian and author of note; given wines of the richness of the (first vintage) 1991 Chardonnay and Verdelho,
Pendarves Estate is bound to flourish". James Halliday, 1993 Guide to the Wines of Australia & New Zealand.
Philip Norrie is remarkable in his multi-faceted approach to wine. He is a highly respected and prolific wine historian, wine educator and the
Founder/President of The Australian Medical Friends of Wine Society. He devotes extensive time and effort extolling the beneficial effects of moderate wine
consumption, in particular as a medical doctor "taking on" the anti-alcohol lobby threat. His leadership in this campaign is a vital factor to the wine
inductry's long term well being.
Now also a successful wine producer, Philip Norrie continues the long involvement of Australia's medical profession in vineyards and winemaking. Many of
our large wine producers were pioneered by doctors, with names such as Lindenman, Penfold, Hardy's, Angrove, Stanley, Houghton and Minchinbury among them.
